Testimonials
"Colm is a young man who brings enthusiasm, energy and a good deal of hard work to everything that he does. I have never met anyone in the technical world as committed as him. Colm takes every opportunity to develop his skill set and is always keen to gain further experience. Since I have been the Director of Performing Arts at Christ College, Colm has participated fully and taken responsibility in all technical aspects across the school. Teachers and pupils have looked upon Colm as a talented, knowledgeable individual and his desire to pursue a career in sound has been evident to all that he meets. During Colm’s time at Christ College he has inspired many other young pupils to sign up to the technical team, which Colm was a vital member of for many years. Colm’s willingness to succeed is evident by the effort that he puts into all that he does no matter what role he plays in the theatre, be that being a stage hand, lighting, set constructor, sound designer or sound engineer.
Colm has an infectious positive attitude and always delivers on every goal he sets out to achieve, whether that is planning the rigging and assisting the installation of the chandelier for our school’s production of The Phantom of the Opera, designing and operating the lighting and sound for the House Speech and Drama Festivals, assisting the setting up of the orchestra for Scrooge the Musical or operating the sound requirements for quest speakers in our purpose built theatre.
Having Colm on your team means that the technical requirements will be handled with great care and professionalism. I am certain that Colm is going to continue to do great and creative things in his future. I highly recommend Colm and wish him every success for the future.

Christ College Brecon
My name is Gareth Pearson and I am the Head of Christ College Brecon, an independent boarding school of around 400 pupils. Colm Fitzpatrick was a student at the school. Throughout his last 4 years but especially whilst in the 6th form Colm volunteered to work in the Theatre Tech department supporting literally all school events. He was absolutely outstanding. Not only did he work all the equipment to ensure that all of the plays and the public presentations went smoothly but he also did lots of time consuming editing too. He was utterly reliable, calm under pressure and carried out every task with enthusiasm, professionalism and commitment. He clearly loved this kind of work and what he produced was always of an excellent standard.
The fact that he did all of this voluntarily on top of his studies was a testament to his character and work ethic. As his Head it was a privilege to watch a young man working in an area that he was clearly passionate and gifted. It was evident to all that Colm had found his future career, a career in which I am certain he will thrive

Christ College Brecon
Having worked with Colm Fitzpatrick on a number of occasions, it is easy to see that he is a born technician, not only for his technical ability but also for his can do attitude and commitment to the completion of the task at hand, to get the job done.
We first met Colm at Christ College Brecon where we were doing sound for Phantom of the Opera. The set up was a fair size with 25 musicians in a separate part of the building to the theatre and a large cast on stage. The patching wasn't straight forward and the system was not one that we were familiar with. Having Colm on hand was invaluable. He knew the system in and out and was more than happy to spend time helping out in any way he could, and had no problem with late night working in the preparation stages.
We have no doubt that Colm will excel in his career as a Sound Technician. We are more than happy to recommend and endorse Colm and would welcome the chance to work with him in the future

I love the films Colm has made, in English and Welsh, to promote The Tree Forager by Adele Nozedar. He's done a fantastic job of showcasing Adele, the trees and the book. They're so entertaining to watch and really do draw the viewer into the Brecon Beacons countryside. Everything about the films are superbly put together; filming, shots, sound quality etc are as professional as anything I have seen (and better than most) and I was amazed when I heard that Colm has only just finished his first year at Uni. This talented young man will go very far indeed
Fiona Robertson, Editorial Director for Watkins Media
Recently Colm Fitzpatrick undertook a commission to direct, film, edit and upload a series of 10 short films under the title of ‘The 2 Minute Forager’ on behalf of my company, Brecon Beacons Foraging.
He was a pleasure to work with, at all times courteous and professional, with great problem-solving skills and good ideas. He was calm in the face of various unforeseen problems, aware of his environment and able to look ahead in terms of editing.
The shoot went so well that the budget was expanded to make a further two sets of the films which to date have had over a thousand views.
We would hope to work with him again on further projects.

Over the last 2 years Colm has produced (and got translated into Welsh) some excellent videos, in particular a number of The Tree Forager Videos.

As a result of this excellent work, we asked Colm if he would look at our website and booking procedures for our craft workshops & zoom sessions.

The result has been amazing. He successfully changed our provider, our email set up & appearance and most of all our website.

He responds to requests within 24 hours, is always polite & patient. All our trainers say how friendly, understanding & helpful he is. From my point of view, I couldn’t have wished for a more easier & professional person to work with. Nothing is ever too much trouble.

The Big Skill is exceedingly fortunate in have Colm doing work for us.
